　　On the morning of March 28, 2019, the first phase of the 2019 (Total 38th) soft science research salon was held in the 1015 Academic Report Hall. The theme of this issue of the salon is: new areas of the Free Trade Zone and several issues of technological innovation. Huang Hong, Director of the Foreign Affairs Department of the Municipal Science and Technology Commission, and Fei Mingxi, Director of the Strategic Planning Office, Zhang Qianhui, deputy secretary and deputy director of the Party Branch of the Party, Shi Qianhui, attended the salon. The meeting was chaired by Chang Jing, a researcher at the Innovation Policy Research Office of our institute.

　　

　　The participating experts had a heated exchange and in-depth discussion on topics such as “enhancing the ability of science and technology in the new area, the field and direction of reform and institutional innovation, and the linkage of relevant departments in the forward-looking layout”. Experts pointed out in the speech that the construction of new areas should actively learn from the experience of international high-level economies in investment, finance, trade, science and technology. It is necessary to promote related research such as the "Portal Talent Freeport" and to gather human resources for the development of new areas. It is necessary to strengthen policy coordination and transform the new district into a pilot zone for the integration and development of institutional innovation.
